Gold Patch Notes Number 8!
Hello, Skyweavers!
As we furiously work on the final touches for the next big patch, the one which will bring us Conquest, Gold Cards and several other amazing changes in the game you love so much, we thought... We looked at our backlog and realized we could slip a quick Balance Patch today, bringing you 8 (eight) new cards!
Those cards fundamentally change a lot of corollaries in our game, and rest assured that Horizon brightest minds have put a lot of work and love into them! As usual, expect smaller Prism changes and bugfixes.
Card 1 - Doom Shroom
This is an old community request, and not a day goes by without hordes of players filling up my inbox with messages about "Doom Shroom 10/10 NAO". Some naysayers will try to convince you that those messages actually said "OB when?", but we all know they are all liars and lunatics.
So, yeah, here it is. I had nothing to do with this. Honest.
Coulter's Sagely Design Commentary: "Doom shroom is now a 10/10. On an unrelated note, Marcelo owes Coulter $20."
Card 2 - Twilight
Sunrise and Sunset are very popular game mechanics recently, so we wanted to give you an MVP that can be played with other cool triggers such as Broodwitch, Cinder and Cryogen's. Even when they are not in your deck. Or Prism.
...
Yeah... that sounded better when Coulter had first explained it to me... But, hey, vampires! We all love vampires, right?
Coulter's Sagely Design Commentary: "Not even Bella saw this one coming."
Card 3 - This is fine
Fire elemental decks are probably the most robust right now, having a lot of powerful options such as Ifrit and Mothermander. To help you create the ultimate Fire deck, "This is fine" is here! It provides you a lot of options when your hand is not completely screwed up by other puny elements. Internally, it is said that this is a popular card when there are server issues or irreproducible bugs looming around.
Coulter's Sagely Design Commentary: "What?"
Card 4 - Three Bears
This unbearable combearnation of Claw Bears fills an important role into rush decks that simply cannot have enough bears around. Since those pesky singleton rules stop us from simply adding a ton of Claw Bears into a single deck... we've decided to bend the rules just a tiny bit... or three.
In collaboration with underground biogeneticists that love card games, we've grafted three bears in one, and we all know that's the right and ethical thing to do.
Comes with a free Claw Bear token unit, because why not, amirite?
Coulter's Sagely Design Commentary: "Don't look at me. I got nothing."
Card 5 - Epic Eagle
This is just a small Premium visual change, to show that we are also cool, hip and fly right here on the World Wide Web.
Move along.
Coulter's Sagely Design Commentary: "Epic Eagle now has sunglasses."
Card 6 - Meme Man
Following in the same line as the previous card, Meme Man is a brand new addition to the Intellect Prism. We saw a surge in Intellect decks, and the chart looked so cute, so familiar that this card's creation was a foregone conclusion.
Comes with the Stonks token Spell, that for a cool 0 Mana cost will increase the value of all your assets by at least 4000%.
Do you have the guts to HODL that?
Coulter's Sagely Design Commentary: "I foresee that this card will be worth millions of damage points for the enemy hero."
Card 7 - Banners!
The apex of Banner decks, with a sprinkle of early 2000 Internet, this puppy will make sure that all those puny creatures now sport the bestest keyword in the game.
In an amazing big-brain twist, it would cost just 1 Mana, but since it's a Banner effect... yeah, you got that right, it had to sport the mandatory +1 Mana buff tax! We did that as a preventative measure, because we know our community well at this point.
Coulter's Sagely Design Commentary: "You wanted +1C banner buffs, now you can have them all in one convenient package."
Card 8 - Skyweaver Card
You play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it, you play it, you summon it.
Coulter's Sagely Design Commentary: "I need a Tylenol."
BONUS ROUND!
Those cards will come in subsequent patches, because they may need a hard clearance from:
A) Our Lawyers
B) Our Dignity
C) Our Families
D All the Above
They are self explanatory, so feel free to insert the jokes as you see fit.
And, that's it! The patch will come online at EIGHT O'CLOCK today and I mean it!
