The winds have started shifting! There have been some subtle changes to the economy this week that we believe will have a positive impact on the game's short- and long-term prospects, as well as a whirlwind of card changes—most of which involve buffs to previously underperforming cards 🐉
Improvements 🦾
- Added a beautiful new Conjure animation!
- Added a Slay trait filter in deckbuilder/out-of-game UI.
- Improved padding and layout in certain screen resolutions.
- Various responsivity and UX improvements.
- New Premium Skypass acquisition method.
In addition to accepting credit card payments and USDC, the system will now take 10 Silver cards and burn them behind the scenes. What this means for you is, the next time you spend USDC on the Premium Skypass, you might actually be buying and burning 10 Silver cards from the market. This can occur when the cost to do so is less expensive than the flat rate we charge. So there's no need to do anything differently if you've been spending USDC!
Changes ⚙️
- The deck leaderboard only includes players ranked Apprentice and up.
- Non-tradable Conquest Tickets.
Any new Conquest Tickets purchased will no longer be tradable. If you have Conquest Tickets already, you will be able to convert them post-patch at no cost. All you have to do is press the "Enter Conquest" button and we'll handle the rest. However, this window to convert them will not last indefinitely, so please be sure to do this within the next several months!
Bugfixes 🐛
- Re-added some missing flags.
- Fixed a bug where the end-of-game screen ranked bar grew too long.
- Performance improvements in-game.
- Fixed some scrolling issues on mobile in the Skypass.
- Fixed broken glow on some Skypass rewards.
- Fixed duplicated cards showing up in card details.
Welcome to patch number 114 everyone! We’ve got a particularly sizable patch this time, as well as a slight update to our patching cadence to share with all of you. As most of you are probably aware, Skyweaver is currently operating on 4-week long seasons. In order to clarify and bring our balance patches more closely in line with these seasons, we’ll be shifting our large balance patches and small balance patches around to align with the start and midpoint of each four week season. At the start of each new season, we’ll have a large balance patch on thursday, which will focus on making a considerable number of buffs and or nerfs to cards in the metagame in order to create new metagame options for the 4-week season, and then the patch halfway through the season will be our smaller ‘check in’ patch, which will have few or no changes, being used only to tune issues in the metagame as needed. This isn’t a huge change from our current cadence, we’re just realigning it to match the start and midpoints of new seasons, rather than start and middle of months. In this way, we aim to ensure that, in addition to the new cards available in the Skypass, each new season will feature a number of balance changes that will help keep the metagame evolving, keep deck diversity high, and reward players for experimenting with new cards and new decks. Most of the buffs this patch were assigned to underperforming cards, with focus given to underperformers that ethier saw a lot of play, as this showed players had a desire for such cards to be viable, or those that we felt had designs unconducive to their Prism or were generally confusing or boring, which received partial reworks as a result. So without further ado, let’s jump on into the numerous changes we have in store!

Another buff to a finisher through giving +1/+1 and Shroud to Titanic. Shroud was actually part of Titanic’s original design, but was cut before release, so it’s exciting to bring this one back. Titanic is a unit that saw a lot of play, but little success in Constructed, and we’d like finishers to be more viable as a whole.

We’ve saved the best for last, with 7 of our 8 dragons receiving buffs to help shape them into the finishers they were always meant to be, scaling up their power level through buffing or adding potent play effects, so as to incentivize players actually playing them from hand. As the first of these, tiamat’s glory effect has been toned back a bit, and she’s dropped banner and her attached spell, but in exchange, her effect is now a Play & Glory effect, meaning she can rain fiery death onto the enemy field the second you play her, opening the path for Glory triggers on subsequent turns! This change should make hard-casting her far more appealing, and should help her have a more immediate impact on the game.
