Axel Hero Ability - Fate’s Fortune

“Heads or Tails? Life or Death? I see it all, whether I want to or not.”

The days of Axel seeing his ‘gift’ of future sight as anything but a curse are long past, but he’s still able to use it to change the future to his benefit, if only slightly. Fate’s Fortune lets him either choose to avoid danger by restoring his own health or take a more reckless approach by losing some health to draw an additional card.

Fate’s Fortune plays into Axel’s more defensive and resource oriented gameplan, allowing him to gain more of the resource that is most valuable depending on the matchup. Against aggressive decks, he can gain health, and against slower opponents, he can safely pull ahead in card advantage by trading health. Fate’s Fortune can be used three times per game, and costs 1 mana to use.

Mira Hero Ability - A.R.M.E.D.

“What use is a great mind if you’re not using it to give others a hand?”

Mira’s newest invention launches onto the battlefield in the form of her “Autonomous Robotic Mobile Emergency Defenses”  — A.R.M.E.D. for short. Her ability lets her use her Mech Suit in combat, throwing punches directly into enemy lines! However, like any good inventor, Mira isn’t satisfied with her first design. With each arm that breaks in battle, she iterates to enhance the next pair she builds!

A.R.M.E.D. helps support Mira’s midrange playstyle, providing extra Units to pressure her opponents aggressively, or combat opposing threats. Each arm that’s destroyed buffs all future arms by +1/+1 for the rest of the game, allowing for a quick one-two punch, trading one arm in an attack, and then attacking with the other arm. A.R.M.E.D. costs 6 mana to use and can be used up to 3 times per game.
